 * after updating this lovely plugin, there is not only the excerpt showing in the
   widget. their is also the »normal« page-text. i can’t fix it.

    - Have you customized the widget template in any way?
    - Are you using any of the widget’s filters or actions?
    - Does your theme or any plugins filter the function `the_excerpt()` in any 
      way?

 * hey, i ditn’t customized the template and i’m not using any filters oder actions.
 * i guess there is only one plugin which is using the excerpt function. it’s »Advanced
   Excerpt« — but it’s deactivated.

 * Ok. This sounds like a plugin or theme conflict issue. Please try disabling all
   plugins except Feature a Page Widget and see if that resolves the problem. If
   so, re-activate them one-by-one until you find the conflicting plugin. If you
   do, I can try to recreate the problem and find a fix.
 * If that doesn’t solve the problem, please try the site with the Twenty Fifteen
   Theme and see if that solves the problem. If so, then it’s a theme conflict and
   we’ll work through that.
 * You can do this on a copy of the site if you have one. I realize this is inconvenient
   but it’s the only way to isolate the issue which is the first step in fixing 
   it.

   prompt response is appreciated if we’re to figure this out before then!
