 * after upgrading my link to view widgets is no longer in my appearance menu in
   the dashboard.
 * I see it in the lay outs and views though, I would rather not have to go through
   every lay out to make changes, Glad I did the upgrade on a test site, a client
   is not so lucky

 * Have you tried switching to the default 2012 theme and disabling all your plugins
   and then reactivating them one by one to rule out any conflicts?

 * WE found the problem, it seems an update did not take for our themes, we found
   out by trying the 2012 theme thank you
