# Widget problem

 * 3.1. doesn’t support widgets? I cann’t save any text widget in positions. They
   dissapears from the site and admin-panel. Default theme, don’t have any plugins,
   clear installation. What the problem?

 * Yes, it does.
 * Have you tried:
 * – checking through [Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-31-master-list)
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.

 * Resolved. My problem was in php.ini:
 * mbstring.func_overload = 2
    mbstring.internal_encoding = UTF-8
 * This need to comment out.
