 * I don’t know if the issue is caused by Astra or Spectra, but my content does
   not cover the width of the page on a desktop. I rebuilt the site completely and
   copied the settings from a successful site using Astra. The original site is
   fine, the new one is not.
 * I am not using a sidebar on any pages. I don’t know why I am having this problem
   on this temporary site. I originally started a different temporary site at this
   address: [https://carolynm14.sg-host.com/](https://carolynm14.sg-host.com/) and
   the width is fine — my settings are the same.
 * I also have a recurring problem with images not showing up when I either publish
   or preview both sites. I never had this problem before.
 * Any ideas?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwidth-layout-problem%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Update – I switched the theme to Storefront, and while the width problem went
   away, the formatting is totally messed up. I am not looking forward to building
   the site again. Any ideas?

 * Hi [@nubiesan](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nubiesan/),
 * I check the site above and can see that the Sidebar is enabled. Refer to this
   [screenshot](https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuR8KoN), please.
 * Please go to the **Customizer** and check the Sidebar setting from there. Please
   be advised that `Page` and `Post` also has its own option to disable/enable the
   Sidebar, so you might want to check there as well.
 * Let us know if you need more help, otherwise please mark the topic as `Resolved`.
 * Kind regards,
    Herman 😊

 * Thanks, I finally found the place to turn it off. I turned it off in the global
   setting but missed the other spot
