WooCommerce – changing wording

Hello all!
Our site has WooCommerce installed where we sell consulting packages. We offer the option to display select local currencies. We’re based in the UK and have GBP as a standard.
When someone from outside (like my native, Canada) logs in they will receive a notification on the top of the page:
We noticed you’re visiting from Canada. We’ve updated our prices to CAD for your <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>shopping convenience</span>.
This is perfect but since we are consultants and offer consulting packages the wording “your shopping convenience” sounds odd and rather inappropriate.
I tried to find the wording (or at least the word “convenience” in the database via phpMyAdmin but cannot find it. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the wording?

The site is http://www.profinteq.com and I will take off the Maintenance Mode as it will prevent you from seeing the home page which generates the currency change notification on the top.
The currency switcher plugin you suggest appears to be part of the WooCommerce plug-in as it is the only place I have enabled multi currency. Please see the screenshot below.
I will create a second reply with the WooCommerce status info.

From the details you’ve shared, it seems that you’re using WooCommerce Payments to handle multiple currencies on your site, and the notification message you’re referring to is an alert generated by this plugin. Unfortunately, this plugin does not provide a setting to customize this default alert message directly.
However, there’s a workaround you can use to change this text to better suit your consulting business. You can use a translation plugin, like 👉 Loco Translate, which allows you to modify any string of text within a plugin.
Here are the steps to do this:
- Install and activate the Loco Translate plugin.
- Then, head over to the
Loco Translate > Pluginspage on your WordPress dashboard. - Find and select ‘WooCommerce Payments‘ in the list of plugins.
- Click on ‘
New Language‘ and pick the same language as your site from the dropdown and hit ‘Start Translating‘. - In the search box, type the exact text you want to replace, which in your case is “for your shopping convenience“
- Once the text pops up in the ‘
Source Text‘ box, type your new text preferred text in the ‘Translation‘ box on the right. Ensure you don’t alter the placeholder strings (%1$s, %2$s, %3$s) as they will auto-fill. - Lastly, click ‘Save‘ when you’re all set.

📌 Just a heads up, if you update the WooCommerce Payments, you might have to repeat these steps as updates can overwrite the language file.

Oh, Tamarat, you are absolutely brilliant. This looks like it will work for us eventually.
I followed the steps and made updates to both English US and GB. I cleared the browser’s cache here and the server’s cache but it still shows the original wording.
I will play around a little and report back. 🙂

Great to hear that you’ve been able to follow the steps and update both English US and GB versions. However, I see that you’re still encountering the original wording, even after clearing both your browser and server’s cache.
Let’s try a few more things to get this sorted out. Could you please ensure that the language you’ve updated is the same as your site’s language? You can do this by heading to the top of the Loco Translate plugin page. There, you should be able to see and select the correct language for your site. Here’s an image to guide you:
