 * I am looking for a way to track consignments using Woocommerce. I drop off products
   at retailers and they only pay me when they sell something.
 * For example, when I drop off 10 of ProductA at Retailer1, I need to record a “
   consignment” of 10, but no sales revenue. I also need to reduce the available
   inventory in my online store by 10.
 * When I visit Retailer1 to do a count, if they’ve sold 5 of ProductA, I then need
   to record the revenue and reduce the consignment quantity by 5.
 * I think I could do this using custom order statuses. Create a new status “consignment”
   that is Pending Payment to record the initial consignment. However, I don’t know
   how to record the sales properly. There are a bunch of status plugins available.
   Does anyone out there have a good way to track and record consignments?

 * Hi there [@dwh01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dwh01/) 👋

 * Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!
    I understand that, upon
   consignment of OrderA (10 of ProductA) at Retailer1, the order needs to be marked
   as consigned, and, subsequently, updated upon checking how many of ProductA were
   sold, at a later time. Setting this up with placing an order will help with inventory
   management also.
 * I suggest you look into using a plugin like [“WooCommerce Order Status Manager” (direct link here)](https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-order-status-manager/),
   as it would allow you to create, edit, and delete completely custom order statuses
   and integrate them seamlessly into your order management flow.
 * I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions,
   let us know. We’re happy to help.

 * Yes, I am looking at that plugin as a possible solution. I think a Consignment
   status will work to reduce the online inventory and indicate the products are
   not yet paid for. That’s the first piece of the use case.
 * The second part, I’m not sure about though. When the consignee sells some of
   the product, how to record the sale properly?
    1. Reduce the consignment quantity
   by the number sold. 2. Record the products sold as ‘paid’, with the appropriate
   consignment fee % paid to the consignee (I’ve been using a coupon to capture
   that and I think it works going forward).
 * The only way I can see, it to record a separate sale for the quantity sold, apply
   the discount and then manually adjust the consignment quantity. I can probably
   live with that, but if there’s a slicker solution you can think of, please let
   me know.
 * Thanks!!

 * Hello [@dwh01](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dwh01/),
 * Your setup is such a specific scenario, I found the following plugin that can
   help you sell the product with more than one retailer: [https://woocommerce.com/products/product-retailers/](https://woocommerce.com/products/product-retailers/)
 * If you’d like to know if it’s a good choice for your site and what you’re trying
   to achieve, you can reach out to us from [WooCommerce.com > MY profile > Support](https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/)?
 * Make sure to select the option below and not support.

 * We haven’t heard from you for a while, so I assume you figured it out already!
 * I’m going to mark this as resolved.
 * Cheers.
