    Hey there,

I was just uploading a product to my shop – all going well until I got to uploading pictures. Very strangely when I tried to upload my files came up but no writing at all to show which files were which. Open/cancel buttons there but no writing on the them either – very strange. Any ideas how to fix?
Sorry – I am not a web developer at all, in any way, shape or form, so please use lay persons terms if you can. 🙂 Thank you

    Hi there,

In order to troubleshoot this further, please do the following:

    • Share a screenshot of the errors you’re seeing on your side;
    • A copy of your system status report as found under **WooCommerce > System Status**

The reason I’m asking for that is the link you shared requires someone to be logged in as an administrator 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hey there,
Thank you so much for your reply.
To be honest a couple of hours after I posted I did a system restore with updraft(?). I lost some work but decided better to do over.
I had a thought that some updates I installed may have been the culprit. I had a message to say check my website a week ago back and there might be technical issues. I did and it all looked fine from there at the front end. So possibly…
Can I ask do people usually install updates? Or is it better to wait? No clue here!! Ha.
    Thanks again,
    Laura B

    Hey Laura,

It’s usually best to install updates. Especially since people rely on their stores for their livelihoods, you do want to make sure everything works well. We rigorously test the WooCommerce core before releasing an update, but we can’t test it with every possible third-party plugin/theme.

That’s why it’s a great idea to have a staging site. That’s a copy of your live site for testing. You can try updates out there first and make sure everything is working. If it’s not, you can then fix the issue without affecting your live site. Then once you know all is well, you can update the live site.

That’s how I always approached things on my business.

    Cheers
