 * Hi Wordfence Support Team,
 * I hope you are doing well.
 * We are currently using the **Wordfence free version** on our website **ocua.com**.
   Previously, we were receiving all Wordfence alert emails without any issues.
   However, recently we have stopped receiving alert notifications.
 * The alert emails we are referring to usually have the subject line:
   **“[Wordfence
   Alert] Problems found on ocua.com”**
 * We have already checked the Wordfence settings in the WordPress admin panel and
   confirmed that the **alert email configuration is enabled and correctly set**.
   For your reference, I have attached a screenshot of the relevant settings.

 * Could you please help us understand why the alert emails are no longer being
   delivered and advise on how we can resolve this issue?
 * Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to your guidance.
 * Best regards,
   Kewal

 * Hi [@ignatiuzkewal](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ignatiuzkewal/), thanks
   for getting in touch.
 * We haven’t changed anything in this area of the plugin and just use WordPress’`
   wp_mail()` function to send them. Wordfence uses those default WordPress core
   email functions everywhere to avoid altering the way email is handled on your
   site. We also don’t process those through our servers, so if there’s been a change
   with another plugin or something else on your hosting environment to change how
   emails are sent, it can be hard for us to diagnose.
 * We always recommend going through these steps first:
    - See if the emails (they come from **wordpress @ yoursitename . com**) are
      getting sent to your junk mail folder by your email client or provider. Make
      sure and whitelist or add your website to the list of safe domains so you
      get emails consistently.
    - Some emails can be marked as spam by a sensitive filter on the originating
      server, so could be discarded before they are ever sent out to your email
      address.
    - Restarting postfix or sendmail (whichever is installed on your server) can
      fix it. Make sure to clear any caches too. Your hosting provider may need
      to help with this.
    - Reaching out to the author of any third party SMTP plugin you have installed
      in case they’ve seen this happen with Wordfence/general emails before.
    - Check if the WP Cron job `wordfence_email_activity_report` or any others are
      showing as overdue in **Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Cron Jobs**
 * If you can’t seem to find a resolution, a copy of diagnostics from your site
   _could_ help us find out what’s going on. You can send that to **wftest @ wordfence.
   com** from the top of the **Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics** page. Click on **“
   Send Report by Email”**.
 * **Please add your forum username where indicated and _respond here if you do
   send one as the inbox is unmonitored._**
 * Many thanks,
   Peter.
