# WordPress 1.5.1??

 * I’ve been watching the timeline where the CVS changes are being made, and can’t
help but notice that v1.5.1 was supposed to have been released a couple weeks
back. That version apparently fixes some bugs in the system that are holding
me back from using WP in a production system for a multi-user website that will
use both pages and posts. Does anyone know when the maintenance release will
   actually show up?
 * Thanks…Neil

 * The response usually heard from the developers is…”When it’s done.”
 * There have been a great number of bugs squashed already (over 100 I had heard).
I’m using the 1.5.1 code and things are running smoothly. 🙂

 * There is no 1.5.1 release yet. It will most likely arrive sometime in April,
hopefully early April. We haven’t set an exact date yet.

 * What makes you think it was “supposed to be released”?
 * It will be released when it’s ready, as every previous version was as well.

 * At one point there was a release date (which has passed) posted somewhere in
the timeline or roadmap. I’m not sure if it has been removed or not, but that
may be what is being referred to.

 * We were playing with Trac’s milestone feature and set a “1.5.1” milestone that
expired several weeks ago. It was only a test and should be deleted.

 * I would assume that we are at least waiting until Matt returns from vacation.

 * Yes. I’ve got a couple more bugs I’d like to get in for 1.5.1. Other than that,
I think we’re looking pretty good. I’d like have a number of localized versions
of WordPress 1.5.1 ready to go when 1.5.1 is released, so we may need to hold
off a little longer while we get some i18n build infrastructure ready. We’ll
   see.

 * OK, thanks very much. The date I was referring to was indeed the one in Trac.
Maybe I’ll look at using one of the nightlies or something to see if that fixes
some of my problems (again, mostly to do with Page editing within the Admin interface–
it never seems to find anything in the vanilla 1.5 install, although I can edit
Pages if I link to Admin from the Page itself).
 * A friendly suggestion, I guess…if future dates are going to be set in something
like the tracker, it might be helpful to post a note to the Dev Blog or something
when one is missed. I completely understand all the reasons given above (and
believe me, as a phpBB fan, I understand the “when it’s done” argument 🙂 ),
but the silence looked a bit deafening to me as a new WP community member.
 * Thanks again to all…

 * anynews yet? The amount of bug fix in 1.5.1 is quite amazing….and needed?

 * “When it’s ready” will always be the answer until it is released.

 * Yes it is, 131 notes in the ChangeLog as of right now. Is this normal for a .
1 release, was 1.5 a buggy release or are the developers heading towards 1.5.5
   or something like that?

 * This is the 1.5.1 tracking thread:
There you’ll find links to changelog and more.
 * (btw, a search for “1.5.1” brings up that thread)
