After that, I’ve tested all feeds form my weblog: [http://zabazabaz.com/blog/](http://zabazabaz.com/blog/) , and I receive some messages from these validators apps: * Feedvalidator: * `Sorry` * `This feed does not validate.` * `line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: :2:0: xml declaration not at start of external entity [help]` * `` * `In addition, this feed has issues that may cause problems for some users. We recommend fixing these issues.` * ` Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type [help]` * `Your feed appears to be encoded as "utf-8", but your server is reporting "US- ASCII" [help]` * Feedburner: * `The URL you entered does not appear to be a valid feed. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 2: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][ lL]" is not allowed.` * I’ve tried to correct these files: * `wp-rss.php wp-rss2.php wp-atom.php * without any result. Do you have any idea to solve this issue? * ps: sorry about my english 🙂 Viewing 7 replies - 1 through 7 (of 7 total) * [davidchait](https://wordpress.org/support/users/davidchait/) * (@davidchait) * [20 years, 1 month ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-202-feed-issue/#post-388026) * out of the box install? no mods? no plugins? * your theme output looks somewhat bad. the atom feed I looked at, looked like it had a blank line at the top (which might be an issue), didn’t actually ‘end’( like generation stopped), the post entry content had extra html embedded that looked like part of the index/theme code, and the feed ended with some javascript advertising thing. * If you custom-modded any feed files, put them back to originals. Turn off plugins. I’ve noted this black line at the top. I didn`t find it. * 2) All plugins are desactivated; * And they have the same error in these feeds. They only suggest to upgrade my account :(. Well to kill this question. Ive installed another blog system: Plog (actualy Life Type) to comprove my teory. I simply had to upgrade the version of my blog through fantastico and Voila’ my feeds were working again.
