# WordPress 2.7 css/display problems

 * I recently installed wordpress on the macs we have in the newsroom at my college
   paper. The purpose was to get people into the habit of using the internet and
   a cms for news delivering.
 * The problem being that, while on the local machine, css and php are rendered 
   fine, any other computer cannot properly show it.
 * This is also not the first time I’ve encountered this. I had built an experimental
   server using Ubuntu with lamp installed. WordPress 2.7 could not display the 
   css at all, and instead rendered a page that was similar to something you’d find
   in 1996. I downgraded to 2.3 on my personal server, and the issue was resolved.
   Is there perhaps another way?
 * Included are different images of each computer.

 * I solved the problem.
 * The fact is that on a local install of wordpress, it sets itself up to refer 
   to localhost as the default URL. While fine on the computer you’re using as a
   server, it doesn’t really work when other computers look it up.
 * Simply change this value under Settings to the computer’s local IP.
