 * Hi
    I don’t know how, but I become the alpha tester for word-press. instead of
   having the latest stable my word-press shows to be 4.0-alpha besides everyday
   I receive about 4 emails that my word-press was upgraded to this alpha version.

 * You could try asking your hosts about it. Generally speaking, however, it is 
   your responsibility to backup your database at regular intervals and especially
   before you upgrade.
