# WordPress 6.9.1 + Elementor – PHP

 * Hi,
   after updating WordPress to **6.9.1** we started seeing multiple `PHP Notice`
   messages related to Elementor, for example:
 * > Script “elementor-v2-editor-*” was enqueued with dependencies that are not
   > registered (editor-canvas, controls, props, etc.)
 * Details:
    - the issue occurs only on one WordPress installation (other WordPress sites
      with Elementor on the same server work fine),
    - `mod_security` is disabled,
    - reinstalling Elementor and other plugins does **not** fix the problem,
    - notices are related to Elementor editor assets; frontend works correctly.
 * The debug log suggests this is triggered by the **stricter script dependency
   validation introduced in WordPress 6.9.1**, and all notices point to Elementor
   editor scripts (`elementor-v2-editor-*`).
 * Questions:
    - Is anyone else experiencing this after upgrading to 6.9.1?
    - Is this a known compatibility issue between WordPress 6.9.1 and Elementor?
    - Did anyone find a workaround other than rolling back WordPress or waiting
      for an Elementor update?
 * Thanks in advance for any insights.

 * Thank you for reporting the PHP notices appearing after your recent update.
 * WordPress 6.9.1 introduced a stricter way of checking website scripts. Because
   of this change, the version of Elementor currently on your site is trying to
   load its editor components in an order that WordPress now flags as “incorrect.”
   This is why you see the notices specifically regarding `elementor-v2-editor`.
 * This is a known compatibility gap between WP 6.9.1 and Elementor versions older
   than 3.35.1.
 * **Recommended Steps**:
 * Update Elementor: Please update Elementor Core to v3.35.1 or higher. These versions
   contain the specific fix for this WordPress change.
 * Clear Cache: After updating, go to Elementor > Editor > Tools, click on Clear
   Files & Data, and clear/regenerate any server-level caching.
 * It is also advised to log out of your website, clear your browser’s cache, and
   log in again.
 * If you cannot update immediately, you can temporarily resolve the “Loading” issue
   by going to Elementor > Editor > Settings > Advanced and setting “Switch Editor
   Loader Method” to Enable.

 * Hello,
 * Unfortunately, despite the latest versions, the problem persists.
   [https://ibb.co/zWryn94Y](https://ibb.co/zWryn94Y)
   The editor takes 2-3 minutes to load, and then content editing works.
 * I’ve checked everything, disabled plugins, and only Elementor remains, and the
   problem persists. Changing the template to a different one doesn’t solve the
   problem either.
 * We have to wait for a global fix.
