 * I am having an issue with my admin panel running very slow after upgrading to
   WordPress 4.0 on an IIS server.
 * It is a multi-site installation and the websites load fine but all admin panels
   run very slow.
 * I have done a auto update and manual update of WordPress 4.0 and even deactivated
   all plugins and the admin panels still run very slow after trying that.
 * If I click network upgrade I get a connection error trying to connect to one
   of the sites saying it can’t make a connection to the domain:80.
 * What else can I try to get this issue resolved?
 * Thank you.

 * Found a fix! Hopefully this can help others in the future.
 * I had to manually change the db_version value in PHPMyAdmin to the correct one.
 * Hope this helps others.

 * Is this an IIS fix only?
 * What value did you change it to / what’s it meant to be?
 * What did you notice after you changed it – much faster?
 * Clutching at straws to try and reclaim some admin panel speed after 4.0 upgrade.
 * Thanks.

 * 1. Not sure if only an IIS issue but problem happened only with a WordPress multisite
   installed on an IIS server.
 * 2. Changed it to 29630 found at [http://codex.wordpress.org/Version_4.0](http://codex.wordpress.org/Version_4.0)
 * 3. It instantly sped the admin panel back up.
 * Make sure you go through each site and check the db version. It is automatically
   suppose to do it when you hit upgrade network but on the IIS server it didn’t
   so they had to manually be set.

 * You can find the db_version under each wp_options table.

 * Thanks for the reply – much appreciated.
 * Based on your initial info I had google my way to that conclusion … unfortunately
   it was already correct on my end so I guess this is not the specific issue I
   have.
 * I’llI have to keep trawling looking for a solution.
 * Thanks again.

 * I doubt this will help but I use ManageWP.com to clean up any revisions, drafts,
   spam etc. It has truly sped up my site.
