# wordpress and httpd.conf DocumentRoot

 * Hi
    I am new to wordpress, and i just installed it on linux in a cloud server
   under the directory /wordpress the issue I have is that in order to reach my 
   site, you need to go to [http://www.example.com/wordpress](http://www.example.com/wordpress)
 * how do i make it so when someone go to [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com)
   it will reach my site ?
    i tried to change the DocumentRoot in httpd.conf to “/
   wordpress”, but then I cant use wp-admin httpd error log says that when i go 
   to [http://www.example.com/wp-admin](http://www.example.com/wp-admin) it cant
   find /wordpress/wordpress
