 * Hi,
 * Does anyone know of a guide for installing WordPress > Apache > PHP > MySQL on
   Windows (in a corporate environment). DO I also need to install phpmyadmin?
 * I have inherited any future projects regarding WordPress and am a bit wet behind
   the ears when it comes to installing all of the above. I’m OK installing all
   the above software but not sure about configuring it all to work with WordPress.
 * Thanks,
    Craig

 * I should also add that I know I can use WAMP but I would rather do it the hard
   way and learn as I go by installing them all separately.

 * Anyone?
 * Surely someone has a tried and tested method installing these apps in a Wintel
   environment?

 * There are probably much better places to ask about setting up Apache, PHP, and
   MySQL on Windows, and there are probably some nicely detailed guides that can
   be found via Google.
 * Once you have that running, follow this guide to install WordPress: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress)

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for the response. I have found numerous guides for installing Apache,
   PHP and MySQL but they all go about it in slightly a different way. I have tried
   a few but when it comes to taking a clone of another WordPress website and trying
   to get it to work it fails. So I do not know if it’s my application installs
   that are iffy or the clone of a website.

 * When you “[take] a clone of another WordPress website,” are you following this
   guide?

 * Thanks for link, will take a look. I as using this link [http://maketecheasier.com/clone-and-migrate-wordpress-blog-to-new-server/2008/01/30](http://maketecheasier.com/clone-and-migrate-wordpress-blog-to-new-server/2008/01/30)

 * I’m not sure if this is what I am looking for. I need to setup a dev box and
   take a copy of the live website and restore it to Dev for obvious development
   reasons.
 * When I restore the database and website files to the dev server I’d like to use
   a different database and website name.

 * Once you have the server setup, follow this guide to move everything over:
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_to_a_New_Server](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_to_a_New_Server)
 * You can then change the database name and `wp-config.php` file accordingly.
