# WordPress Automatic Upgrade

 * Hi y’all I’m having problems with the waup plugin. First it says; Seems you have
   not completed the clean up process from last upgrade ..When I try to automaticly
   upgrade my blog it stops halfway and says: could not upgrade your files
 * Altough it wont works for me to upgrade automaticly when I do it manualy it says
   it’s already up to date, no need to upgrade.
 * It’s all strange because my blog is just new and I guess I downloaded the 2.5.1
 * But in my dash is always a notice that says wp 2.5.1 is available, update now.
 * Any help or thoughts are much appreciated!

 * Avoiding your question about the automatic upgrade (I’ve never tried), the “upgraded
   but dashboard thinks not” problem was quite frequent when 2.5 was just out. Have
   a look at some of [these threads](http://wordpress.org/search/upgraded+still+says+upgrade?forums=1).
