# WordPress Backend slow

 * When I activate the current version, my WordPress backend becomes very slow.
 * When I deactivate the plugin, my backend is fast again.
 * What could be the reason for this?
 * This did not happen with the old versions.

    - Does this happen on every page of your WP Admin, or only on particular pages?
      If so, which ones?
    - How much data do you have in your Koko Analytics tables, in terms of days/
      years?
    - Are there any files in your **wp-content/uploads/koko-analytics **directory?
    - If you go to /wp-admin/options.php on your site, what is the value of the **
      koko_analytics_version** option? If this is lower than 2.0.22 then it could
      be that the plugin is still busy migrating your data to version 2.x behind
      the scenes.
    - Could you temporarily install a plugin like [Query Monitor](https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/)
      to see what exactly is slow? With that plugin installed, you should have a
      toolbar at the top of your site showing you slow queries etc.
