# Looking for a book to learn WordPress

 * I am as the title states a WP beginner. I am going to buy “Professional WordPress:
   Design and Development” to understand the admin and inner workings side of things.
 * So can anyone recommend an equally good and up to date book to start developing
   sites from scratch so I can learn WP creatively to a level where the book “Professional
   WordPress: Design and Development” will marry up nicely.
 * Hope I’m going about this the right way! Suggestions welcome even the insults
   🙂

 * Digging into WordPress by Chris Coyier and Jeff Starr as well as The Tao of WordPress
   by Jeff Starr would be great books to read. You will also want to always reference
   the WordPress Codex. Justin Tadlock also has some really good insights on his
   blog. Hope this helps!

 * Thank you all I will be having a look at your suggestions. I’ve also stumbled
   across WP101 so looks like I’ve got plenty to keep me busy.
