 * Hello I am new to wordpress so I want to know that there are lots of page builder
plugins available for wordpress so, to build basic dynamic website shall I go
for custom development or use page builder. Which one is suitable? And please
specify pros and cons of page builder vs custom development?

 * Neither is needed. Every site and project would have its own requirements for“
extras”, and we can’t judge that for you.

 * Many people find a page builder UI easier to build pages with, but such plugins
add another layer of complexity which can on occasion cause conflicts. An actively
maintained plugin will soon correct any conflicts that arise. Generally, the
layout options available to you in a page builder are limited to some extent.
Experienced coders can get frustrated by this, but the inexperienced never notice
   the lack.
 * If you are comfortable with HTML and CSS, you don’t need a page builder. Otherwise,
it can be useful. IMO, even better would be to learn HTML and CSS so you don’t
have to rely upon a page builder. It’s not for everyone though.
 * You might consider trying the Gutenberg plugin. The UI is slated to soon become
   part of core WP.

 * Thanks for your reply [@bcworkz](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bcworkz/).
I know HTML, CSS, RWD but that process takes much time to build website. So I
   am literally confused.

 * There is not going to be an obvious answer. Asking other people of unknown authority
in the matter what their opinions are isn’t going to make it any clearer. Every
option has pros and cons. You’ll need to decide for yourself what’s best for
your site. As Joy pointed out, no one can judge that for you.

 * AFAIK, you would not be successful. I’m not aware of any themes at those sites
which rely upon page builders. Their themes rely upon a specific framework, which
are different from page builders. For a better chance of success, you should
build themes using their common framework. Even then, I don’t know how open they
are to freelance theme builders, you should contact operators of the sites to
get accurate information on what’s possible, if anything.
