* While writing a new blog post on my WordPress blog, I noticed that it is converting‘
 ✓’ (checkmark) to ‘?’ (question mark). I am using the classic editor (not the
 block one).
* I tried to enter the ✓ character in multiple ways like using the ✓ HTML
 entity also but as soon as I moved to the visual tab on the editor the character
 changed back to ?.
* Any help would be greatly appreciated.

* Hey there,
* I can suggest a few things:
* – try the HTML decimal: “&# 10003;” (or “&# 10004;”) – make sure to remove the
 blank spaces between # and number
* – check with a different font
* – test deactivate some plugins and change momentarily your theme to a default
 one, to verify possible conflict issues

* Thanks for your suggestions and help I tried them all but the issue still persists:
* – Both the codes “&# 10003;” (or “&# 10004;”) display a checkmark when typed
 from the HTML view but when I save the post the checkmarks turn into question
 marks(?)
* – I changed the font to system fonts like Ariel, Sans Serif but there was no
 change.
* – I deactivated all the plugins one by one, but the checkmark character still
 got converted into a question mark(?)
