# WordPress Child Theme

 * I created a theme called WP-Forge and then I created a child theme to be used
   with WP-Forge called WP-Starter [http://wpstarter.themeawesome.com/](http://wpstarter.themeawesome.com/)
 * When I created WP-Starter, the method of [@import](https://wordpress.org/support/users/import/)
   was still being used and now I see that there is a new way of pulling in the
   parent css: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
 * However, when I updated WP-Starter to use this new way of pulling in the parent
   css, it seems that I get two versions of WP-Starter’s style sheet. If you look
   at the source of [http://wpstarter.themeawesome.com/](http://wpstarter.themeawesome.com/)–
   you will see that wpforge-css is exactly the same as child-style-css
 * Just wondering if anyone can help by explaining why this may be happening so
   I can correct it?
 * Your help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

 * I guess you must have figured it out because I don’t see a stylesheet with an
   ID of **child-style-css**, but I do see one for **wpforge-css** and **parent-
   theme-css**.

 * Yes I did get it figured out. I wasn’t getting any love here so I asked my question
   over at [WordPress Stack Exchange](http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/175011/wordpress-child-theme-am-i-missing-something/175225#175225)
   and I got an answer immediately, which is kind of nice 😉
