# wordpress database errors

 * Since this morning my site suddenly stopped working (“could not connect to database”
   error).
    So I did the ‘define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true);’ via wp-config file and
   still got some errors afterwards. WordPress sait to please copy-and-paste the
   following list of errors to the WordPress support forums to get additional assistance.
   So here I am 🙂
 * wp_posts: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
    wp_comments:
   3 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly wp_options: Table is
   marked as crashed wp_postmeta: 23 clients are using or haven’t closed the table
   properly wp_commentmeta: 3 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
 * My site is working now ([http://paulvanderheyde.com](http://paulvanderheyde.com)),
   so I don’t know how big the problem is. But the strange thing is that I didn’t
   do anything to my site or database. More than a week since I added a photograph(
   woocomemrce product) and everything was working fine (until this morning, or 
   maybe this night). Can a database just crash out of the blue??

 * Yes. If the database crash out of the sudden. The server is down and will be 
   back soon as the server solved it.

 * Thanks for the reply .. I’ve had servers down before. But that’s usually a few
   minutes and my other sites (on the same hosting) are then down as well.
    This
   time, only this site was affected and for a few hours (I actually thought it 
   were just the servers).
