# WordPress doesn’t keep paragraphs?!

 * My wordpress has randomly started to loose formatting whenever I create a new
   post / page or edit an old one.
 * For example, when I create a post with multiple paragraphs and then publish it
   wordpress removes all the paragraphs so it’s one big block of text. If I edit
   the code and manually add the paragraphs tags in myself then it’s fine.
 * Anyone have any ideas how to fix this and why it’s randomly started doing it?
   I had no problems before.

 * Just a guess, but I had similar issues when I had visual editor enabled. Lots
   of my coded formatting would be gone every time I went in to edit entries (because
   even though you can switch to code mode, it defaults on visual)
 * Go into your user profile, and uncheck “use the visual editor when writing”. 
   Granted, if you like the visual editor, this may not be a good option, but if
   you prefer to use code, this will lead to far fewer unknown hiccups in my experience.
