# WordPress Editor

 * I was using the editor to create a post on a self-hosted WordPress site using
   Chrome as a browser and all of the editor buttons disappeared. The Visual / Text
   buttons that appear at the top of the text editor window are visible but aren’t
   functioning as links. Does anyone know how to correct this?

 * The problem also appears in Opera – its a server end problem.

 * Is it working any any browser? Do you have any plugins active?
    Try disabling
   all plugins and reverting to the default theme. Then you can you find out if 
   it’s a plugin or theme issue.
 * There is a good chance it’s being disabled somewhere. Also make sure in your 
   user profile you don’t have `Disable the visual editor when writing` selected.
