# wordpress Editor Gone!

 * Hello there!
    I need to add a code in my Child Theme’s style.css but the editor
   in the dashboard has gone.
 * (Please note I am not a TECH savvy so I am just following instructions from my
   Theme support guys)
 * Could you please help me find out what happened?

 * Look in your wp-config.php file for this line:
 * `define( 'DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true );`
 * If it’s there, delete it.

 * I had checked it already as I found the same answer on another thread but I couldn’t
   find the line on my wp-config.php file

 * It could be disabled in your theme’s functions.php, too. Check that file as well.

 * Hey Steven,
    So, I found that line in the wp-config.ph ( I checked again ) however,
   I am not sure how I should do it. I don’t want to make a mess. I saw that I cannot
   just simply remove the line and close the file. it doesn’t get saved. Do I have
   to download the file, modify it, and then reload it again? thanks a lot for your
   help.
