 * You can check for _Fatal_ errors in your servers PHP error log file
    (last records).
 * If you dont know how/where to find this file – try asking your hosting support.

 * This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins,
   and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable
   them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
 * Try [manually resetting your plugins](https://wordpress.org/support/article/faq-troubleshooting/#how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-the-administrative-menus)(
   no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
   individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [SFTP or FTP](https://wordpress.org/support/article/ftp-clients/),
   or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to `/wp-content/
   themes/` and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force
   the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (
   theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * The hosting company replied by saying that WordPress should have sent a “recovery

 * If you cant log on to dashboard, you can rename /wp-content/**plugins** folder
   to something like “disabledplugins”
    using filemanager from hosting control panel
   or via FTP or SSH
 * However, its better to get exact error message (mailed to you with recovery mode
   link, if you got that mail, or from server error.log)

 * This is the error message I received. My hosting company told me to go to this
   forum to ask how to resolve this is issue.
