• My site went offline yesterday twice. The message I get is “Error establishing database connection”. It is inconstant so it must not be configuration.

The site is an wordpress instalation running as a CMS getting 1,500+ vistors / day.

I am including stats generated both by WP and PJW Inspect Cache Plugin and would like some advice on performance.

  • Sounds like a problem with your server losing the connection to the database…I would contact the host.

I already did and am waiting for a response. But i figured it could be something WP related since the site is hosted on a reliable server.

If you are always getting the warning, then it may be a problem with one of your settings. If it comes and goes, then it’s a connection issue with you host.
