# WordPress export…without access to phpMyAdmin

 * Hi All-
    Forgive me if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I’m couldn’t
   find an answer.
 * I have a word press blog that is hosted on a domain name owned by someone else.
   I am the sole author and would like to transfer the content on the blog to my
   own website, where I have recently installed word press.
 * Because I do not have access to the install process, any can only post, I cannot
   log onto phpMyAdmin or export, backup, etc. any of my files.
 * My question is this – is there a way for me to export my entries in any other
   way (besides the time consuming entry-by-entry copy/pasting). I don’t even care
   about saving the tags, categories, etc. at this point – I just want to make sure
   the content doesn’t vanish when the domain name expires in, oh, 24 hours.

 * If you can post and you are the admin – there should be an Export menu in the
   admin.
    Can’t you use that one?

 * When logged in, can you get to Manage -> Export? If so, just click on “WordPress”.

 * Hi Moshu and HandySolo-
    I’m afraid that when I go under ‘Manage’, the only things
   available to me are ‘Posts’, ‘Categories’, ‘Comments’, ‘Awaiting Moderation’ 
   and everyone’s favorite, ‘Akismet Spam’.
 * I should have noted that this is a ‘hacked’ version of WordPress – I suppose 
   it would be possible that option was removed?

 * Or your user level just doesn’t have access.

    You should
   have started with that.
 * In this case and if the site owner is not helpful – you don’t have to much choices.
   You may want to try to import by RSS feeds: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Importing_Content#Importing_from_an_RSS_feed](http://codex.wordpress.org/Importing_Content#Importing_from_an_RSS_feed)

 * Thank HS and Moshu- I had tried that once and was only able to get 15 of the 
   entires, but I dug around and instead of the atom feed found a direct RSS and
   was able to get about half of them. These were the most important ones, however–
   I appreciate your help!
