 * Please help me with this if you can. I have noticed on my wordpress site that
often when I insert embed code for a Google Map that I have issues down the road
where the map in fact dissappears. I can dublicate the problem now. It happens
when I go from visual to HTML mode in the page editor. It literally removes code
from the page when I do this. Is there anyway to protect this code so that wp
doesn’t remove it. I’m worried about what will happen once i hand the keys over
   to the client.
 * Thanks again for your help!!!

 * Please don’t bump. It ruins the magic [No Replies link](http://wordpress.org/support/view/no-replies).

 * Sadly, that’s what the Visual editor does. Raw HTML embedded code will get wiped
   out with the editing.

 * You can disable the visual editor on an user account basis but there is nothing
to prevent your user from turning it back on. It might be easier for you to examine
one of the [Google Maps plugins that uses short codes](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=google+maps+shortcode).
