# wordpress HTTPS working on administration but not on website pages

 * Hello!
 * I’ve been struggling with putting https on my wordpress website. I think I’ve
   done everything somewhat correctly, the certificate is installed, the htaccess
   and the apache conf files configurated, domain name changed… but the HTTPS only
   works on the front page and the wordpress administration pages, and on the other
   pages of my website it says error 404… I also tried to use a plugin that would
   do everything automaticly, but it has the same problem.
 * Could someone help please?

 * Have you reset the permalinks in WordPress? (Settings, Permalinks, then save)

 * I think I’ve done that already yeah, the website is [http://vps521665.ovh.net/](http://vps521665.ovh.net/)(
   I’ve backed up the website to the http only version).
    Also, if it can help, 
   I’m using elementor, and when the https is activated it cannot edit pages anymore.

   is that your temporary domain?
 * You can use [https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html](https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html)
   to check the domains SSL status.

 * Hi, You can use Really simple SSL plugin to check SSL Status and
    Can activate

 * You maybe have to run a search and replace on the URL you were using for development.
 * If there is anything calling the staging domain which does not have SSL it would
   likely break things.
 * [http://vps521665.ovh.net/](http://vps521665.ovh.net/) replace with [https://yournewdomain.com](https://yournewdomain.com)
 * If you have checked all this then perhaps the Elementor forms would help.

 * Thanks for your answers, I’ve checked all of that, the new domain should be web.
   neogroupe.com (which I used when I tried to put the https).
 * Also, I tried to use really simple ssl, it did the same problem :/
 * I might ask on their forum, thanks!
