# WordPress Install errors

 * Hi I have just downloaded and tried installing the latest version of WordPress
   yesterday. I get to step two and receive the following errors
 * Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/
   httpd/vhosts/datingwomenguides.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.
   php on line 343

 * It repeats this for awhile and then i get alot of errors where it is trying to
   put info into the tables that it couldnt create in the first place.
 * Then it says complete please login, even though it hasnt actually created anything.
 * I had my host look at it, he wasn’t able to trouble shoot it at this time.
 * I am thinking it may have to do with the version of php that I have on my server
   as it caused a problem on another script that was working fine before the recent
   update.
 * This is what I am running on my server if it helps
 * Version of PHP: 4.3.11
    The operating system is a red hat linux enterprise clone
   called centos completely identical to RHEL 3
 * Hopefully someone can help out with this.
