WordPress Installation problem on MAMP

Hi, Ive been trying to install WordPress on my MacBook Air and MAMP has been a nightmare to set up on my computer:

– Instead of “Preferences” it says “Cloud” when I first click MAMP

– Regarding setting up the root folder, when I direct it to my “Sites” folder in the WP Zipfile, nothing happens

I can’t get past that part.

Is there any way to get WordPress or MAMP installed automatically on a MacBook instead of going through all this customisation? Also, can I hop on team viewer with anyone from support to help?
