# WordPress Installation problem on MAMP

 * Hi, Ive been trying to install WordPress on my MacBook Air and MAMP has been 
   a nightmare to set up on my computer:
 * – Instead of “Preferences” it says “Cloud” when I first click MAMP
 * – Regarding setting up the root folder, when I direct it to my “Sites” folder
   in the WP Zipfile, nothing happens
 * I can’t get past that part.
 * Is there any way to get WordPress or MAMP installed automatically on a MacBook
   instead of going through all this customisation? Also, can I hop on team viewer
   with anyone from support to help?

   don’t need MAMP.

 * I use “[Local by Flywheel](https://local.getflywheel.com/)” on my Mac. After 
   one fairly large download, setting up a WP site is just a matter of a couple 
   clicks.
