# WordPress is causing a high server load

 * My wordpress multisite install is slowing down my server exponentially. This 
   one process seems to be taking up alot of CPU power.
 * /usr/sbin/mysqld –basedir=/ –datadir=/var/lib/mysql –user=mysql –pid-file=/var/
   lib/mysql/gre.$$$$$$$$$$$$.com.pid –skip-external-locking
 * Does it relate to posts? tags? plugins? Anything?

 * Check your Options table in php my admin.
 * There should be ideally 200-300 rows there. If there are any more (like in thousands)
   you need to clean that up. But please take a backup of the DB before doing so.
