# WordPress makes new posts as 404 errors

 * I made a new post today, however wordpress merely created a page that says 404
   error. I’m not quite sure what to do. I have not installed any new mods before
   I did this.

 * In fact the link to the new post, actually links to a different page. A page 
   that was created a week ago or so.
 * So when you go to [http://www.igorstallthoughts.us](http://www.igorstallthoughts.us),
   when you click on “War is Imminent”, it leads you to a page that has a url of
   [http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy](http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy),
   but why does it lead to that page?
 * That’s not even the correct url for the page that is labeled as Help Ukrainian
   Army, the real url is [http://igorstallthoughts.us/help-ukrainian-army](http://igorstallthoughts.us/help-ukrainian-army).
 * Am I making any sense? I’m so confused by WP.

 * Have you gotten this fixed? If not, have you tried changing the slug of the new
   post you created? It is indeed a very strange situation you got going on. Does
   this happen with all new posts or just this one?

 * Hello Mr. Price. It’s still not solved. My second testing post did the same thing.
   It takes people to the same non existent page, [http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy](http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy).

   non existent [http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy](http://igorstallthoughts.us/HelpUkraineArmy)
   link. I will advice you to remove all the extra plugins and also change the theme.
   Check the URL structure settings from your WordPress dashboard

 * Samiur, thank you. I am unfortunately too novice to understand what any of these
   results mean for me. I am trying to uninstall plugins, and seeing if that helps.
