 * Now that you have the content you want in the root or main site…
 * Step through the process to create a network again and see if that doesn’t bring
   it back!
 * [https://wordpress.org/support/article/create-a-network/](https://wordpress.org/support/article/create-a-network/)
 * I imagine there might be a shortcut to get the network running again but I don’t
   know what it is but I also figure WordPress just needs to know the process actually
   ran so the above should get you through and the processes are probably all done
   so it should be a matter of just stepping through and having it come up as a
   network again.
 * Do make a backup of what you have right now first!
 * The worst outcome might then be the network provisioning might run completely
   as if you’d never created the network but I’m thinking the network will come
   back as it was before you stopped it. It’s normally a non-destructive process
   on the main site either way and the backup will preserve what you have if something
   does go wrong.
 * Let us know if you need more help and I’d appreciate some feedback on how it
   went if you would!

 * Well, maybe the admin account you are using is not a super admin, didn’t get
   promoted back when you reran network setup or else is stuck as a site admin or
   something.
 * Be very careful but you can go into PHPMyAdmin and promote any user to a super
   admin…
 * [https://drawne.com/add-super-admin-wordpress-network/](https://drawne.com/add-super-admin-wordpress-network/)
 * Else, go into the files system and promote a user to super admin using a function
   as outlined in the text above. That may or may not work… I’ve never needed to
   use that.
 * Hope this helps.

 * Okay, I think you’re supposed to delete that function once you’re done if you
   haven’t done that already.
 * Glad it helped!
