 * I have recently set up a WordPress network and I’ve noticed that the paths to
   plugin assets, such as JS, CSS and images, are all broken on all network sites,
   except the initial one.
 * For example, for the plugin “WP Dashboard Notes”, a CSS file path is incorrect
   like so:
 * `http://example.coms/assets/css/wpdn_admin.css?ver=1.0.5`
 * Another example. for the plugin “SiteOrigin Widget Bundle”, a CSS path is incorrect
   like so:
 * `http://example.come/base/js/admin.min.js?ver=1.4.4`
 * The same error pattern for all other plugin assets occurs, with the last letter
   of the plugin name appearing instead of the path to the plugin. This means that
   plugins don’t work correctly on network sites.
 * I’ve actually encountered this several times before on Network installs. unsure
   of the reason.

 * Sorry, a little more basic information. I followed the [network setup instructions posted on WP.org](http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network)(
   opting for a subdomain setup) and then added the [WordPress MU Domain Mapping](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/),
   both I’m certain were installed correctly as prescribed.

 * I’ve since moved onto the domain mapping plugin by WPMU which works perfectly:
 * [https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping/](https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping/)
 * Answers are still welcome though as I’d still like to know why the WordPress
   recommeneded way doesn’t work correctly.
