 * Hello All,
    I am looking for a CMS to develop my website. I have a bunch of Windows
   servers – 2008 R2 – ready to go. But – I am seeing that this has to run on a
   Linux platform – is that correct? Can it run on the very inefficient windows
   server platform? Let me know, and thanks!

 * Hey – one more question – I just remembered that the server I will install this
   on is just Win 2008 enterprise – not R2. Are the instructions the same?

 * I am really not sure about the difference, if any. Perhaps someone who is failiar
   with the diffrence between these two can chime in.

 * I have another simple question – and it is confusing.
 * I see the word blog used a lot in the documentation. I am not wanting a blog
   on my site – just web pages. Should I choose another product – or am I just reading
   things wrong?

 * “Blog” is really just a leftover from the beginnings of WP – when it WAS a blogging
   platform. It’s come a long way since then and it’s definitely used for “regular”
   websites by lots of people. If you don’t want a blog, just use pages not posts.
   See:

 * EDIT- and yes, it’s certainly confusing :)!

 * In addition to what WPyogi mentioned, review this for more options: [http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types](http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types)
