# WordPress Posts particle missing categories

 * The WordPress Posts particle. When I try to use it, in the Categories box I only
   have the Uncategorized category available. There are five other categories that
   were added on that are not available. Is there anything I can do to fix that?

   Wordpress Version 4.7.3 Theme: Hydrogen (v5.3.6 / g5_hydrogen) Gantry Version
   5.4.10

 * I found the answer. It is **not** a problem with Gantry. It is a thing about 
   WordPress and some other CMS’s that always gets me. If the category is empty 
   is does not show up. A very frustrating characteristic. I’m not sure why it’s
   done that way but it has always been irritation and huge time waster for me.

 * Hi,
 * Yes, this is correct. Categories that are empty won’t appear on that list, however
   after your post I’m considering changing this behavior.
 * Let’s see if anyone else will find this as an issue.
