 * Hi,
 * I have just installed your plugin to trial with the default WordPress registration
login form and I have faced issues with both the email and sms OTPs.
 * Email: I was asked to enter a username and email address (no password). The OTP
email was sent and recognised. I was then redirected to a page saying ‘check
your email’. I haven’t received an email since and am unable to login as the
new user as there was no password field on user registration (even though the
user has been created in the admin section).
 * SMS: I have tried the SMS OTP with numbers for 2 different countries (Singapore
and Australia) and both time it throws an error saying it can’t send the OTP
to those numbers. They are both valid mobile numbers that I use on a daily basis.

 * Hi [@slocs](https://wordpress.org/support/users/slocs/),
 * We would be happy to help you out. To answer your concerns:

 * This is the default WordPress Registration behavior. Your users have been created
but not activated. WordPress sends out a confirmation email after initial registration.
Users have to click the activation link in the email to complete the registration
   process.
 * As you are using our SMTP Gateway for sending out emails we have had to limit
the email sending to just OTP Verification. Any other email being sent out by
WordPress doesn’t go through our plugin. You would probably need to configure
an SMTP plugin which would reconfigure the wp_mail() PHP function and send all
outgoing emails via an SMTP server.
 * If you would like that the plugin automatically creates the account and logs
the user in without sending out any emails then we would have to change the default
WordPress behavior. We can do that for you as a customization in the plugin.
Please drop an email to [otpsupport@miniorange.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-registration-form/otpsupport@miniorange.com?output_format=md)
   to discuss this further.

 * Ummm…I am not sure what your reply means at all. It doesn’t make any sense.
 * I had your plugin setup and set your plugin to register users on the WordPress
website. Isn’t that what it is for?
 * When I went to register as a new user (with your plugin enabled for email OTP
verification on user registration), I was prompted to enter a username and email(
but no password). After entering the above, I was sent the OTP email. I entered
the OTP in YOUR OTP popup box then I was redirected to a page asking me to login
but I had not set up a password!! The user was created as “Subscriber” in the
admin dashboard and if you saying that the user isn’t “activated” then there
is a problem with using your plugin for WordPress registrations! Your plugin
just doesn’t work to register users via email! I think it is ridiculous to say
your plugin doesn’t send registration emails when you have a feature for user
   registrations!
 * And why should I email you re: sending SMSes? If you have a plugin on WordPress
for people to try, it should just work and if it doesn’t, you should simply provide
the support required here for everyone to see!! Not be sneaky about how your
plugin (being displayed on WordPress as a free plugin) should be used via private
   emails.
