 * Hello,
 * I am currently having a wordpress blog which I am developing into a videoblog
   website. For this I work together with a programmer who now told me that wordpress
   has some safety issues. He told me that if you have simple subscribers (who can
   comment on posts etc) and can also login to the backend (even though they obviously
   don’t have administrator rights) there are still hacking possibilities for them.
 * Does anybody know anything about this?
 * Any tips are welcome!

 * If your programmer thinks this is possible he should contact [security@wordpress.org](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-safety/security@wordpress.org?output_format=md)
   with details on how it can be done.
 * His statement is a bit too open to be of any use, as the same could be said of
   a lot of online blog/cms etc.
