# WordPress Scalability

 * We are working on a WordPress site that will contain a large amount of video.
   We are interested in knowing the scalability of WP in relation to the amount 
   of video – specifically:
    1. How much video can scale without performance issues?
   2. What do we need to know about using large amounts of video on the WordPress
   platform? 3. How many concurrent uses can watch same video? Thank you.

 * 1. Depends on your server and the bandwidth available.

 * I strongly recommend hosting your video on a a platform optimized for serving
   video like youtube, vimeo, or vzaar.

 * Currently it is set up in the cloud through Bitnami, and the video is all being
   served from either YouTube or Vimeo.

 * If you’re not hosting the video, then it’s just sizing your site/server to handle
   the number of visitors without worrying about providing the bandwidth for the
   videos.
