    Is there a feature for this plugin to allow the website search to include RSS feeds?

  • Hi @ogega,

    The way the RSS Feeds are pulled into the site via WP RSS Aggregator are imported in as a Custom Post type. You should be able to use the WordPress search to find the content pulled in to your Pages/Posts. That being said, depending on how your feeds are displayed, you might find the RSS feed on a page within a list of content rather than a direct link to the RSS Feed article imported onto your site.

    Thanks for your reaponse but Isn’t that only with the feed to post add on?I don’t have the feed to post add on. I use the free version and the search does not work.

    Hi @ogega,

    Your site doesn’t seem to be live so we can’t view it at this time.

    That being said, if you are only using the free version, the search would not pull up the content for individual articles/Feed Items as you may have intended. It may search for content, but it would probably find keywords on Pages/Posts where you placed the shortcode wherein your whole RSS Feed Items are listed.

    I would like the search to function like the website below. Can I achieve it with this plugin? Please note that the results are rss feeds and when a user clicks on one of them, it goes to the article.

    Thank you.

    @ogega

    That can be achieved with the WP RSS Aggregator Core Plugin, however, for the search results to achieve the same formatting would need some customisation work.

    If you choose to purchase the Feed to Post add-on, you could have the titles link to the original source, possibly opening in an iframe, and customise the search results page that follows.

    If you require some form of customisation, we have partnered up with two great companies that can help you out. You can use the forms on this page to send customisation requests directly to their team of professionals.

    We will not be able to determine your costs for you, so we ask you to please contact them directly using the forms on our site
