# wordpress truncating accented posts

 * I have a problem that I’ve already seen here in the forum, but none of them has
   fixed my problem, so I’ve decided to open a new topic, hopefully somebody can
   help me with this issue.
 * Since monday, my wordpress started to truncate my posts since my first accented
   word. Assuming the blog is in portuguese, there are many accented words and I
   really need this working. In a sentence like “Estratégias para saneamento básico
   desde as escolas”, wordpress would only publish “Estrat” and will cut off the
   entire sentence. The entire text.
 * All the documents are UTF8, and I’ve tryied also to downgrade the wordpress, 
   because one of my suspects was the upgrade I did. One of the editors installed
   a plugin, and didn’t used, just deleted, the plugin is ra-socialize.
 * Do you have any Idea about what is this problem about? I can’t atualize my site
   [http://www.pceamazonas.com.br](http://www.pceamazonas.com.br) since last monday

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
