Thanks for the report!
That’s a known issue, and we’re looking into it. We’ll get this fixed in the next Jetpack release. You can follow our progress here:
https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/2016In the meantime, I would suggest the following: go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on “Disconnect from WordPress.com”. Once you’ve done so you’ll be able to reconnect to WordPress.com by clicking on the connect button at the top of the page.
That should help.
I did it ! thanks a lot !!
That message had shown up again π ( after wp update)
It seems you haven’t tried to disconnect from WordPress.com and reconnect with another account yet. Could you give that a try and let me know how it goes?
i have same problem after reconnect with another account now !
my wordprees 4.2
and Jetpack 3.5@mahmoud samy Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:
http://jetpack.me/contact-support/I have reconnected to another account and i have same problem..
I upgraded WordPress to 4.2 and now Jetpack is no longer a menu option in the dashboard and I cannot re-install it because I get the prompt that the file is already installed and installation failed. Am I missing something?
@hackers4free I don’t see any mention of the disconnection on our end. Could you give it another try?
@mahmoud samy Could you tell me more about your site setup? Do you use Multisite? If so, do you use a domain mapping plugin?
Thanks!
@m McCallister Could you try to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, and delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin manually as explained here:
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_InstallationYou’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:
wp-content plugins jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDERIf you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.
If that doesn’t help, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/jetpack#postformThank you!
I’ve made some changes to your Jetpack settings. Could you give it one last try?
Thanks!
