# WordPress Updating error

 * I get the following error:
 * “Could not copy file: /public_html/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-2.8.2/wordpress/
   wp-comments-post.php
 * Installation Failed”
 * Any ideas of how to fix this??

 * I had the same issue, then to fix it I changed the permission(CHMOD) on the upgrade
   directory to 777, then changed it back to 755 when the upgrade completed.

 * Hi,
 * Check with these options:
 * -> Disable All plugins
    – assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-contents folder.
 * If these options fails then upgrade wordpress manually.
