# WordPress.com import problem

 * I am attempting to import my wordpress.com blog into my new hosted install but
   am having no luck. the export file is 2.99MB so I know it’s bigger than the limit
   on the import page. I have also tried the [http://mt-export-split.wordpress.net](http://mt-export-split.wordpress.net)
   a couple of times from a couple of browsers with no luck.
 * Is there some way to split the wp.com file manually? Or does anyone have a solution.
   I’m ready to go but have no posts to show.

 * 2.99 should be fine. Are you getting some sort of error or what? You don’t mention
   what is occuring.

 * Contact your hosting service and ask them to change the setting. Make sure memory
   limit is higher than the default 8mb while their editing php.ini
