# WordPress.com to webhost done. WordPress.org features missing :-(

 * I’ve just bitten the bullet and upgraded my WordPress.com URL over to a webhost(
   iPage), to allow me to have plug-ins etc.
 * This seems to have gone smoothly and I have clicked in iPage to install and use
   WordPress as my editor. Only problem is I find myself with exactly the same functions
   and features of WordPress as I had before. I thought there would be additional
   editing options to allow me to ‘activate plug-ins’ etc. I must have done something
   wrong, or missed a trick, but can’t work it out.

 * ps. I’ve used the guide on here to look it up and a ‘Plug-ins’ option should 
   appear in the left sidebar of the dashboard – below ‘Appearance’ but I don’t 
   have the option displaying 🙁 It’s driving me crazy!
 * Have asked iPage, but they have referred me back to WordPress.
