 * I am trying to install wordpress.org to my existing domain (www.eatlittlebird.
   com), which is currently a wordpress.com site. I’ve purchased hosting at ThisWebHost.
   com and have installed WordPress.org to my domain through there–however, when
   I go to log into my WordPress.org site using the link it gave me “[http://eatlittlebird.com/wp-admin/&#8221](http://eatlittlebird.com/wp-admin/&#8221);
   it just takes me back to my old wordpress.com site and doesn’t allow me to log
   into the new .org interface. What do I need to do to get the WP.org interface
   to pull up instead of the old WP.com interface?

 * You need to change name server at registrar just checked your domain name and
   is still pointing to wordpress.com.
 * It will take day or two to propagate.

 * Sorry, I’m new to this, so when you say I need to change the name server, does
   that have to do with adding an A Record and a CNAME Record? If so, it’s asking
   me for a “name” & ‘address” under A Record and under CNAME it’s asking for “name”&“
   CNAME”. Where do I go to find the information to put in each of those boxes to
   get this set up?

 * ThisWebHost.com should have given a DNS example ns1.ThisWebHost.com may be different
   you need change at Registrar so it knows where the location of your wordpress
   is.
 * at present it is
    Registrar : WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC. Referral URL : [http://www.wildwestdomains.com](http://www.wildwestdomains.com)
   Whois Server : com.whois-servers.net Nameservers : ns1.wordpress.com ns2.wordpress.
   com
 * and looks wordpress.com is the Registrar so log in in wordpress.com and change
   name servers.

 * So I’ve logged into my site at wordpress.com and have gone to Settings–>Domains
   and it shows my domain. Then I click on “edit DNS” next to my domain, which I
   believe is what I’m suppose to click on, right?
 * Then it asks me to “add a DNS record for this domain in the following format:
 * MX <pref> <host>
    TXT <text> CNAME <subdomain> <host> A <subdomain> <IP>
 * And then gives this as a sample of how it should look:
 * MX 10 MAIL1.EXAMPLE.COM.
    MX 20 MAIL2.EXAMPLE.COM. TXT v=spf1 include:mail.example.
   com ~all CNAME autodiscover EXCHANGE.EXAMPLE.COM. A webmail 1.2.3.4
 * When I purchased hosting, this is the information it gave me:
 * Domain: eatlittlebird.com
    Server IP: 69.167.175.14 Nameserver 1: ns1.thiswebhost.
   com Nameserver 2: ns2.thiswebhost.com
 * So how do I translate this info, into the code it’s asking for above?

 * You need to log into your domain registrar’s control panel – the place where
   you registered your domain name, and go the nameservers area, and change ns1.
   wordpress.com & ns2.wordpress.com to ns1.thiswebhost.com & ns2.thiswebhost.com
 * Do not add a DNS record, do not touch MX/CNAME/A records. You are not creating
   a new record, you are simply changing the old DNS records.
 * Where did you register the domain? Wild West Domains? If so, you should have
   a login & password for there. Log in there and make the change above.
